Sony declares full on assult on xbox live

"This story, together with the recent survey Sony conducted, should remove any doubts about Sony's online ambitions. Is it possible that Sony could create a network the size and scale of Xbox Live in such a short time. It has cost Microsoft, the world's largest software company, billions and taken years just to lay the framework for the current Live service. Sony is know for their hyperbolic marketing: the PS2's Emotion Engine, the PSP as iPod-killer; it seems unlikely they could take the crown from Microsoft on their first try, but any attempt is a huge relief. It was beginning to look like Sony didn't think the Live service was a valuable addition to console gaming, or a serious competitor to their hegemony. "

Well, the sony playstation is the favorite, so I wouldn't be surprised if it outdoes the 360. Statistics say that people are more in favorite of the PS2/PS3 when it comes out. I just don't think the controllers are realistic enough for comfortability... Plus I love Halo and other xbox games, that's why I got 360.

I think Playstation will probably outdue 360

ya, I wonder if sony will continue some of it's free online services. If they do, it would definitely be in the favor seeing as xbox live is entirely paid subscription based.

now xbox live is free. they have 2 versions. xbox live gold and silver. silver is free, but gold comes with more of a profile thing.

Im just waiting for an online console GTA series. Than ill never leave my house, there wont be a need for it. lol.

the xbox live gold is if you have an existing xbox1 account and you buy a 360, and the more expensive 360 comes with gold, the cheap 360 comes with silver. i dunno about no patch though.

yea i work at a videogame store.. and i have been a videogame nut forever... but sony wont touch Xbox live... for the fact that to make it work theyd have to make everyone pay like Live does.. and my sony rep already said its gonna be 100% free... now .. as for xbox live... it is the best ONLINE COMMUNITY... but it sucks for playing games... since it does let you host your own games on 360 ... it makes it hard to find matches and takes ATLEAST a 1/2 to find an online match do to poor match making .. Xbox live is alright.. but ill take my internet service for free... and im not worried abiut making friends and talking to them over my xbox... gimme my game... and let me kill someone ... thats it.....

PS ERIC ... you got 360 Live??? whats your gamer tag?

trying to put out a full online system in 7 months when it took twice as long to get the system set up.

Impossible feat, but sony is quite the corporate monster, i woulndt be suprised if they pulled it off.
