Need For Speed: Underground 2

NFSU2 Is a really fun game.
I have been playing it for the past couple days at my buddy's house.

Pros: Large variety of cars, you got your Rice of course, but you also get a selection of trucks/SUVs and some Detroit Muscle (Vette, GTO, and 05 Mustang). This provides for a very diverse racing experience and then you can really put those ricers to shame on screen (and on the track/street). A lot of brand name Rims and decals are in game. Includes a dyno tuning so its possible that people can actually learn from this game. You can customize your trunk with sound accessoies and neons. All sorts of race modes, from drifting to drag to sprint to full out street courses.

Cons: Rice styled body kits, 20" Spinners, and hydraulics on the GTO are really wierd to see on screen. Graphics are kinda grainy as well. The game almost seems to be completely rice inspired as far as it goes for accessories for cars. Of all the performance options though its kinda silly because you dont see brand names and your only goal is to max out with the stage three kits so no part interaction.

Overall: Rent this one first to see if you enjoy the graphics and dont get totally pissed off having to start off the game driving a 350Z. Other than that its pretty badass.

I just got this game and I finally hooked the PS2 up to my network, does anyone (you or anyone else here) play this online??? I suck and don't know how to modify cars yet :smt021 , but I'm willing to give it a try :smt071

i sadly dont own the game, i just played it a whole bunch. Apparently you have to like follow the story line part of the game to unlock certain components and you most certainly have to race in order to get cash to buy these components.

Another aspect allows you to completely trick out a car, but this is seperate of the story mode line.

I played it enough to get a feel for it but not enough to expert it or figure out all the little details.

Unfortunately that seems to be the trend with popular titles. Im not too sure why.

Like i said in my unofficial review you should not be able to make a 2004 GTO look sorta kinda like a supra souped up.

I dunno, too much rice styling for me. But they at least did include the muscle cars and from what my buddy told me recently after getting further into the game they tend to be fastest cars in the game. But do you really wanna race rice all day and beat them everytime? (dont answer that.)

Ryan, I heard xbox is comming out with a game like gt4 where you can modify your cars! Should be pritty good, hopefully. I'm thinking on buying Underground, but still not sure. Probably get sick of all the rice burners ya know.

I'm absolutely addicted to this game.. can't put it down :smt055 ....... ya sure u get ur ricers.. but u can always change the camera angle so ya don't have to c it.. lol...... i think the graphics r sweet n its sooo fun to play.... if u get a chance i say buy it!!
