okay, you were right

well I finally went and hit some twisties for a few hours this weekend for the first time on the rr; it's rediculous...all around it's a LOT nicer than the gixxer ever was. and for those of you that were making fun of the gixxer for being a heavy pig, you were right. the rr is way lighter, much smoother powerband, more comfortable riding position, waaaaay better headlights.....blah blah blah.
even the flat seat is more comfortable than the one on the gixxer but I'd still like to get a corbin, I was pretty much done wanting to be on my bike after 2 or 3 hours and that's with stopping several times.

got 39 mpg and that was keeping the rpm high, a lot of 120mph and a few 150 bursts. best I ever got with the gixxer was 28 and that was babying it.

it wasn't a bad bike though, great to start on and even in spite of its' negatives it'd still rail very nicely in the corners.

that's all i got, lovin the new bike.

Honda CBR 600rr. look it up on their website, honda.com

if you don't have friends that ride(that's where I learn stuff) then spend some time reading some mags, maybe a few forums and the bike manufacturer's website.

Nice man, I just upgraded from my gixxer to an RR almost a month ago now....and I feel the same way about the gixxer being a complete turd compared to the RR....It got so bad on the zuk that I basically wouldnt ride it anymore because it was so uncumfy....The RR is actually very nice to ride and the seat isnt even that bad at all.

Congrats on the new bike :smt023

its a sport cruiser type of bike... basically its the same engine my bike has (sport bike) in more of a cruiser type bike...

oh and there ugly :smt045

if your looking into getting a sport bike then look at:
Yamaha R6
Honda 600RR
Honda F4i
Suzuki GSXR600
Suzuki SV650 (sweet v-twin bike)
Kawasaki ninja 636

If your looking at more of a commuter bike look at the FZ6 and such which give you a more comfortable sitting position for long rides but dont perform as well on a track.

SV650 :smt023 one of my friends got one a few months ago, that thing is a lot of fun.

there's the honda 599 and superhawk, too, haven't ridden either of those, an acquaintance has a 599 and he likes it.
