insurance--who do you have?

well, now that I'm planning on getting a nice bike I'm considering full coverage. not sure how much it'll be though, I was paying $60/month for liability on my 97 gixxer 750, seems a little expensive but it's the cheapest I could find.

that's with Foremost Ins; I have a point and at that time did not have the MSF course discount.
most of you guys have newer bikes, what are you paying for insurance and who are you with?

thing I like about foremost is that I have a local agent here in town and I have a few good friends that work in that office so I know they'll stick up for me. I've had my other agent that does my truck insurance do the same and it's made things SOOOO nice when I don't have to argue with the ins company.

Ive been with progressive for two years, and never had a problem, but then again ive never had to make a claim*knock on wood*

last yr for my f3 i had plpd and theft and it was aqround 500 for a year, this year for my new 6 i have the same, but being a new bike the theft costs more and it was almost 900 a yr for plpd and theft.

I cant justify paying 4 grand a yr on full coverage, thats nearly half the cost of the bike itself. Plus the way I look at it, you got full coverage, wreck it, make a claim get it all fixed and you rates go way up if they will even still insure you.

Don't claim the bike and fix it all yourself for just about what the deductable is, and no worries about rates increasing. In the long run its wayyy cheaper to fix it urself and not thru insurance.

foremost is who I've got now and the quote for the '04 600rr PLPD/bodily injury is $675/yr or full coverage for $2,300/yr (56 or 191/mo). so it's a $1,600/year difference. hmmm. still not sure whether or not to carry full coverage.
