Lookin for a Bike

Well being that summer is coming, i would like to get a bike this year. *if i can find one for cheap*

However, im not looking to buy new, i cant justify that $$. Anyhow, what are some good reccomendations on cheap 600cc sportbikes.

I was thinking the Honda CBR 600 F4i (mainly cause i have rebuilt those engines numerous times, FSAE). Also, where is a good place to look for used bikes.

then as ya know the F4i motor has the cam tensioner that goes bad problem. Other then that they are awsome bikes. If i get a honda it will be the RR...

Here at ASU we are putting the RR motor in our FSAE car...

also look at:
-Craigs list
-cycle trader

also how do you plan to get your license? because if you are plannin for the MSF course then you need to sign up RIGHT NOW, they get full really early.

Well we never used the stock cam tensioner anyhow.. if you use the aftermarket one you can pick up a bit of hp... sometimes up to 5hp depending on the tension you have it set at.

Oh and we avoided the RR due to packaging and CG location.. the CG is much higher on the RR motor than the F4i

if you guys dont already know.. you will be doing drysump eventually... easy way to lower the engine 2.5 inches ... (well i shouldnt say easy..lol)

i could go on for hours about the F4i motor.. but i'll stop...

Anyhow, yeah im just going to keeep my eyes open, im not in any hurry.
