ok nick.. i know u've gota be done polishing waxing tinkering and takin her apart .... so put up some pics already jeezzusss!!! lol .......

btw for those who don't know wtf im talkin bout.. his new bike came in today.....and it is B E A UTIFULLLLLL!!!!! :smt025

just somethin about polishing and waxing... you dont want to wax brand new paint till it has had at least a month to cure all the way. Just something i learned from a buddy who does amazing paint work. I guess it needs to breath before you fill in the pores...

About all I could do tonight, it's still not hittin me fully im so happy right now. First big thing ive ever owned thats brand spankin new. Jay has a few more pics onhis camera if he'd like to post up.

And I think I have the bragging rights of the first yellow/black in MI

I'll get more when its nice out. I was hopin to ride it home but right before I leave to get it it starts snowin like all hell. And its supposed to snow all weekend to. Havnbt even rode it yet, but its home with 3.9 miles on it (PDI)

Ya I wasnt gonna wax it yet, but I need to clean it, they did a half assed job cleaning it

Also Im getting some paint protection put on www.ventureshield.com so I won't need to worry about wax untill its on.

EDIT:and for the record, I'm officially broke and in debt for the first time in my life :smt090 BUt i got a fuckin BAD ASS bike :h

Wow!

Congrats! I know how ya feel-Ive had the Repsol for months now and still can't get over it. That's one beautiful bike ya have there!

that bike is HOT!!!

As for waxing.. you can do it now.. Factory paint jobs are normally cured at a higher temperature (i.e. before the rest of the bike is assembled, or at least this is how they do it in automotive) Painting after the bike is assembled would require it to cure at a lower temp so it wont melt the components. Then you should wait.

Oh and welcome to the real world of Debt... its a viscous middle class cycle that most will never see the end of. Once you own a house you will be in debt for 30 years (of course, that isnt bad debt to have).

Congrats Nick....that thing is beautiful man. The exhaust note really is nice for a stock bike.

Id like to get some pics of that bad boy on my camera in the daylight. And if you need help with that "island" hanging off the back, let me know.
