97 gsx-r750 headlight/fairing bracket

wondering if any of you can help me with this. the bracket underneath the guages for the fairing bolts from the frame to the headlight housing. the metal bracket on the frame side has been broken and bird crap welded and broken again(previous owner)

the plastic headlight housing is broken out on the left side, the right side is okay.

anyone know of a way to fix this without having to buy a new headlight housing? it's even expensive for my parts manager friends at a dealership. is this a common problem? if it's a common breaking point I'd rather fix it right(aftermarket/fabricate) than spend a bunch of money buying another housing that's going to break in the same spot.

I dont see how it could break without the bike either being droped or someone hitting it while it was sitting there. Once it did break, Im guessing the guy layed down a shitty weld on the bracket, and the intecgrity of the plastic was compremised(sp). So maybe you can plastic weld the housing for a quick fix, and then have the frame bracket part welded decently so when air blows on it, it wont break, lol...

Is there any way to take some pics of it?

yes it was dropped. and i'm not sure if i can actually call what he did "welding"... i'll do a much nicer job of re-welding. didn't think of plastic welding or something like 5 minute epoxy.
I need to bend the top windscreen/mirror bracket a little as it's been bent down a little by that whole front fairing bouncing, which is beginning to crack the left side fairing.
I'll put some pics up pretty soon today or tomorrow.

zip ties would probably be a lot easier than glueing it. plus we get them by the case, they pretty much hold aircraft together.

i couldn't find the plastic mig at harbor freight, they must've been out of stock there.
