what a dick...

The following editorial appeared in the South Bend Tribune on January 18:

Quote:
Protect yourself or pay the consequences

Common sense and personal responsibility are declining these days. In their place, blaming others for your misfortunes is pervasive. The Tribune is promoting this concept with headlines like "Son died because of phone" (Dec. 26).
A van driver illegally pulled out in front of a motorcyclist. The van driver was talking on a cell phone at the time. The cyclist was killed in the accident.
There is no question the van driver caused the accident, but the motorcycle rider is largely responsible for the severity of his injuries and subsequent death. Common sense should tell people that if they are going to share the streets with other vehicles weighing several thousand pounds, then they should have some sheet metal around them. An error by another driver is a constant threat whenever and whatever you drive. A smart person would protect himself with a similarly sized vehicle. People can't depend on the law to protect them; they must do it themselves or face the consequences.
Cell phones or not, accidents will still happen. Unfortunately, there are no fender benders with motorcycles.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the victim's family over this tragedy, but please don't put all the blame for his death on the other driver or a cell phone. Unfortunately, I see this scenario all too often in my profession.

What a fuckin asshole, so apparently to be safe we all must drive big ass SUV's so when someone hits us were ok. Well maybe if ppl would hang the fuck up and drive we wouldn't have this problem.

Sorry this guy really pissed me off, and now I'm on my way to freecondoms.com to see if they really do infact send free condoms. He obviously could use a few being such a dickface. :smt071

That is soo fucked up right there....

So in this "doctors" opinion....Every rider should stop riding becuase people in cars cant fucking pay attention and drive their damn car the right way? I find it hard to beleive that fuckbag can blame someone out enjoying a ride on their bike, because some random guy decides to just pull on out in front of them.

it's too bad we can't have some common sense or situational awareness test to decide whether or not you can drive. I almost died in an S10 because a stupid mom pulled out right in front of me from a stop sign and I T-boned her going 60 on a country road; and I think it was because the stop sign didn't say ALTO. stupid stupid stupid. It really should be close to impossible to get a driver's license and should be based on ability and not just knowledge.

getting my aircraft mechanics license was hard, took two years of school and $500+ of federal testing, and I had to be able to read, write and UNDERSTAND english.

This knucklehead is the same type that after someone in a bigger car or truck runs over and kills someone in his family in a tree hugger little piece of shit, will then want all of the SUV's off the road!! They tried that of everyone driving the same car! It's now just called Russia

No thanks!
