For the time being...

Now i know a lot of people like and dislike this section. Lets leave the opinions of this section right here in this thread and leave it out of the other sections.

Now voice away, but play nice.

ive heard many opinions on this section, and i see valid points in all of them...

i realise this is a CAR club... but as you can see ... pretty much all of the sections are about cars and makes ...but many of the members also own bikes and i think it's a good idea to have this section so they can discuss developments and new releases for their bikes...

lets not discriminate here tho.... they both run by an engine and on fuel ... they both bleed oil ... frankly one can be considered more on the anorexic side of the board over the other based on weight difference.... but in the end we all burn rubber n crave speed....

lets show some love for 2 wheels :smt055 ... just as we have for FWD and v6...

I am not going to lie... I was not to happy about this being that it is a Muscle Car Club. But alot of u guys have motorcycles and I am now starting to warm up to this. I kind of like it now. But I agree with Andrea we are all in to motors. If its on a car or a bike.

I still don't get the big fuss about a bike section.

If this site is devoted to muscle car's, why do we have two lobbies, multimedia, job listings section, classifieds section, a managment section, etc etc..

Not to put a fire under your ass('s), I just don't get why the bike section is the devil.

Bolded is the part that I really don't agree with, if the bike section is such a bad idea because this is a car club/site.

I feel that the forums are going well, I think the bike section is a great idea. I think's it's another great way to expand nation wide. Ry I know this is a muscle car club, but you haven't been out with us last summer. We have a lot of bikes out there, if you were out there you would totally understand. Lots of people with mustangs, camaros.... whatever.... have bikes. They do, speed is a thrill whichever way you look at it. Yeah this is a muscle car site, but a lot of people love bikes on here. I think it will grow on ya Ry, just like the new GTO and Charger. Takes awhile for new stuff to grow on ya. :smt025

As for the Mopar section, we'll eventually get some mopar guys in here. Slowly, but surely, we will :smt045

Ill go along with it for now. I dont really even care, I dont even have to mod this section so its not like its more work. its not the devil either.

As for this:
Quote:
If this site is devoted to muscle car's, why do we have two lobbies, multimedia, job listings section, classifieds section, a managment section, etc etc..

Two Lobbies
-One for car talk (nonexistant)
-One for unrelated bantering so we can get to know each other better as a car club. Friends = Good Meet Fun.

Multimedia- Supposed to be filled with car videos, i think this is quite an important section, unfortunately its not to thick on the car vids any more.

Job Listings- Well thats where you go to find yourself an automotive related career, or to find information related to automotive careers, its supposed to be there to add just a little bit more interest to automotive industries. Good idea, too bad there are no want ads posted, nor information, nor anything saying that auto is the place to go if your into that kind of thing.

Management section-???? Duh, gotta have one of these. Otherwise we would have an interesting time sorting through some of the trash on the site.

I mean what are we supposed to have? One section thats title Muscle Cars? We got that, its a complete run-on of the definition of a muscle car. Thats interesting enough to read, facts and the lot of good stuff from american automotive history.

Its to bad the automotive news section doesnt get filled up more as well.

What concerns me is the lack of a thread count in the important categories, the threads talking about the workings of the car.

The whole ford section only has 24 threads???
The whole Mopar section has 2 threads..... :smt078
And GM has about 135.

So that gives us 161 threads about Cars.

The lobbies combined has 313. :smt017 How much of that is car talk? 20% maybe?

I think performance automotive discussion should be more emphasized and developed on this site above anything else. At least the bike section should contribute to that.

Whatever im done, i dont even care anymore.

The only reason i put this thread up was because i saw other threads getting hijacked and directed in another direction than intended. Figure if people are going to bitch, to at least keep it out of the threads that are being productive.

i agree with the arguements but i think this section is a good improvement.

hell if websites like LS1tech can have sections for v6's, LT1's, and other variations of LS motors why cant we have one for bikes lol?

i think it is a good move...we had at least 3-4 bikes out on woodward everytime last year..
