im ashamed to say this...:(
but i got beat by a ford focus!
wierd story though
i was on grove road over by liberty square, and a car is behind me, switches lanes, and proceeds to pass me. it stops next to me (i am cruising in 4th at like 2k rpm, about 38mph). while he is next to me im thinking, GO YOU FAGGOT!!!! i want to get in that lane, asshat!
so he guns it. it took a couple seconds for me to realize he wanted to race. he was far enough ahead for me to notice he had black racing stripes, so he had to been in my narrow headlights. probably already a carlength ahead of me.
mind you, im 16, first race with me behind the wheel.
so i panic and just stomp it. i end up keeping up with him, but i let off because there was a red light. it turned green before we got to it, and he turned left, or else im sure i would have stomped him from a dig. i practice that stuff :) especially since i kept up with him at like 3k in 4th.
if i knew it was a race, i woulda shifted into 3rd and probably got him there as well.
all well, better luck next time. im sooo disappointed though...i got beat by a focus.

i may not be in the majority in saying this, but at 16 you shouldnt be racing anybody. get some experiance behind the wheel before you start doing stuff like that.
most people on here writing kill stories have many years experience behind the wheel, and can handle most situations that they get themselves into
i say this because i wrecked my first car while racing 2 months after getting my license...stay safe out there

Well, yeah, all that safety stuff and so on, racing school etc...
On the lighter side, don't feel bad about losing to a Focus, I had one keep dead nutz on my door last summer (yes, in the Z) when I was sure i would walk on him lol. He was all happy and I was all WTF!? I gave him a friendly one finger jesture showing him that I was mad at my car lol. And that was with a bit of experience...
