zed oh six (in Canadian talk)

It happened last weekend (Saturday to be exact), but I just thought of it while browsing through my regular forums.

I was driving, not looking for a race when a yellow C5 Z06 whips out of a parking lot next to me. We hit a light together so I opened my exhaust cut-out to let him at least know I wasn't stock. Light turns green and I get on it a bit but he doesn't bite yet. I figured if he wasn't going to then, he wasn't going to period so I shift into 2nd. I'm getting up to the point where I'd normally shift to 3rd and I see him coming up pretty hard still in 1st (you could tell by how loud his car was and the sound of the engine). He slows enough to get even with me and we both punch it. Through 2nd I pull maybe half a car on him, shift to 3rd and start to inch away some more and he lets off.

It wasn't as long as I would have liked it to be, but it's the first one I've run into since the turbo upgrade so I was pretty happy. My guess is the guy assumed he was going to walk away from me and didn't want to go through with what he had already started (there were a few 'spectators' who saw it) I still need to get my car retuned which should be good for another 15-20hp, but I'm happy with it as is regardless...anything else is just the cherry on top.

1/4 ET is a mid 12 on a bad day. I haven't made a good pass at the track yet, but I plan on going next Sunday to Lapeer to get some runs in. I went once as the car sits and the day was real shitty but I managed a 12.8 @ 112 with a 2.1 60'. I was pretty dissapointed which is why I want to get back for some better numbers. The above is on drag radials which don't help much. On an actual slick I'd probably get an easy low 12 possibly dip into the 11's.

I have no idea on 0-60 or 0-100 unless you want factory numbers. I think factory 0-60 is like 5.8s or maybe a tad higher on the '03's (which I have...no LSD in '03 so I think '04 and '05 might've been 5.8 and the '03's maybe 5.9 or 6.0..?)

I just looked at my timeslips. It looks like I hit 100mph around 10.6/10.7 seconds. I don't know about 60 though. In the 1/8 mile I trap high 80's

Garret is the brand of the turbocharger, and "50 trim" is the size of his turbo(he swapped the stock turbo out for this bahemoth(sp?))

"support" refers to supporting modifications for the larger turbo aka intercooler, more fuel, tuning etc

Correct on everything. Garrett is the turbo, "50 trim" is what this size turbo is refered to as, "support" is intake, exhaust, fuel, intercooler, etc. etc. with some transmission stuff to handle it all.
