Mustang: 1, Cadillac CTS-V: 0

On the way home tonight I see 2 HID light's zipping in and out of traffic behind me. The next light goes red and I stop, pulling into the lane next to me is a shiny new CTS-V. I look over checking out the car and the guy gives me the nod. (note: the guy's wife/girlfriend is in the car and she seemed to be giving him the "you'd better not" look that we all know). So I roll off the light unsure if he's going to punch it or not, sure enough I hit second gear and I see his hood raise...OH the race is on. I punch it running second gear to 65 and shifting into 3rd I have about a half car on him and I'm still pulling strong, finally at 90 the good conscience angel catches up to me (musta fell asleep at the light :smt015 ) and I slow down for the red. Now here's the funny part...I look over to see if he will even look at me, and his wife/girlfriend is slapping him silly, and he put's his hands up in surrender...guess he won't do that again. (well at least with her in the car). Now here's my question, what are the stock specs on that car?

To be honest I dont think he got a good jump, I was in the powerband sweet spot when I pulled, after that it was dead even. That and it probably didnt help with someone screaming at him.

Low to mid 13's for the CTS-V. They get a sh!tload of rear wheel hop out of them. They are known for breaking axles.

by all measures "on-paper" he should have left you behind...

goes to show, real world may not always happen like it does on paper. However, that race wasnt started like a good race should so who knows.. a couple tenths delay from either member would result in a large difference in outcome.

Yep, CTS-V's are sticks and I would expect the average person that can afford one can't drive for shit.
