Butt-Kickin', Max Style

I'm currently down in Indy; just got done lookin at the Indy Raceway Museum and Gasoline Alley. I'm now sittin' in the hotel with the window open, listenin' to the sounds of open-pipe Harleys on the street below-blippin' and revvin' only like big displacement can...

It's a neat sound.

Been out on the Street a few times during what little free time I have at home. Ran a couple of cars, including:

1) '67 Shelby GT 350. This was the real deal - no clone. dual quad hipo 289; cam. We danced a bit B4 catching the normandy lite; he tipped in...Max out ran him, even while spinnin' all the way thru 1st and 2nd. Rather than go again - he hit the first available turnaround.

2) Cobra 'vert. Been meanin' to run one for a while, as they're a bit heavier than Max - so I'd have a better chance. I caught this guy at the Normandy lite - when it went green, we rolled thru the intersection and hit it on the other side. It was pretty much door-to-door until third...Max then put a nose on the guy.

I found out later that another buddy of mine had run him with a similar result, then posted up a 13.1 at Milan. Soo...Max is actually runnin' a tad better than last year, as he's clockin low 13's on street skins...the stickies will take 2-3 tenths off of that.

Wasn't all that happy with the closeness of the Cobra race, so I made the decision to add some more ponies while improving Max's launch. by mid June, all mods should be in place, and I'll be ready to run some more...I figure Max will be a solid mid 12 car when the dust settles on this round of upgrades.

Soo...

If you feel like bringin' it - Max will be waitin'.

what's on this rounds mod list Chuck? I still wish I had a Mach of my own. It's my favorite Mustang (that is under $75,000 anyhow..)

What year was the Cobra? Or about what year anyhow?

Answers:

1) Losin' races:

Not many. Most are posted up here, FWIW. Lancer Evo; Z06; 6.0 GTO - but I beat the GTO after another mod. Read the threads - it's all in there. Please note the Evo was heavily modded; The Z06 had mods, too.

2) Cobra:

I dunno. I only noted the IRS as I rolled up alongside it.

3) Waitin'?

Yup. That's what I do. Got two more mods to make and I'll be ready...
