haha, that's kinda crazy. There are guys busting out 1.6/1.7 second 60' times, but they're on slicks with (at the very least) either stiff struts and lowering springs or full coil-over suspension to help. There are a few companies now who have made traction bars for the SRT, which sounds like it would serve the same purpose as the "limiting strap" you mentioned.

I won't be able to get too much better on my 60' without something to at least stiffen up the rear. I'm checking into adjustable strut prices right now actually. I don't like the ride/feel of a lowered SRT, so I'm trying to avoid that.

I'm tellin' ya - just go to Murray's and buy some twist-in spring stiffeners. They're made of aluminum, and use a 1/2" ratchet to crank into the spring. I't try two a side to start - they're raise the rear of the car about an inch to an inch and a half.

Also - if you yank the rear spoiler, you'll pick up trap speed. I pulled mine last year and gained a full MPH. Four nuts and it's off...

It's those little things that make the difference, man!

Next time I go to the track, I might try that spring stiffener idea. Send me a PM and give me a few more details on it.

I actually pulled the spoiler last time I went to the track. I had been debating leaving it off for good, but I'm not a fan of that look without the car being lowered. I did get my best stock turbo time of 13.0 @ 109 with it off though. That day was PERFECT for racing. I still couldn't get a damn 60' time though. To be honest, that wing didn't weigh even CLOSE to what I thought it would.

It's not the weight - it's the wind resistance. My wing is blow-molded ABS; weighs all of three pounds - but the resistance is considerable at the big end. SRT's have a much bigger wing, so the resistance has to be worth about 2 MPH on trap speed...
