New best at the track!
I never realized just how much my bad brakes affected my cars performance. Some how my old brakes were creating a lot of drag so it was like I was slightly braking all the time eventhough I didn't have my foot on the brake. Well anywho, I got them changed and headed over to the track tonight to see just how much they were holding me back. I was running low 13.6s for the first 6-7 passes in high 70 degree weather, which didn't seem all that much better, but I was running over 1 mph faster than I use to. Then after waiting 2 hours in the pits to go again, I finally get my final run in nice and cool mid 60 degree weather. I got a 13.491 @ 101.80mph and I was just esstactic. Then I just had to call DanO and gloat to him since that's very close to what he got in his 2000 camaro ss, even though he trapped at 106 mph. I could have gotten a better run after that, but they were closing down, but I got my 13.4 run and I'm happy.

Nice run. It is always better when you get a new best time at the track.

On one of my runs, I went against a srt-4 stage 2 that had the big turbo put in and I crushed him. It felt nice, but that kid couldn't drive worth anything and got a 14.4 when I went against him and a best of 13.9 for the night. Speaking of bad drivers, there was this one guy there driving an LS2 GTO that was running high 13's. I don't think that I've ever seen anyone at the track with a gto that could actually drive it.

I saw a guy last year at Milan run a 15.8 with a 6 speed GTO. Big fat guy that couldn't shift to save his life.
