Why is it always trucks?

At first i thought it was kinda funny..ya i'll run just about anything on the road. But this is now getting to the point where its not even funny.Yes i know the turbo can be made to go but how many of them to you really run into on the street? Why is it so many Ford trucks always want to race me? 80% of the time Power Strokers the rest Lightnings. So far trucks make up 75% of my races this year. Yesturday on woodward my girl and i are going to meet her parents for dinner...then what do you know a red lightning cuts in and out of traffic to get up by me. I had my sights on the new Z06 ahead but the Truck wouldnt leave me alone. So like any other person would do i dusted him. Waited for my sweet spot(automatic) then let him have some first gear rubber and a i little chirp into 2nd. Lets just say the race was well over before my car hit 2nd. By this time my turn was coming up so he thought it would be a good idea to try his luck with the Z06.I can only guess how that race went. :h

Trucks have been hot for years now. Especially modded Lightnings, they can suprise quite a few F bodies :smt025

It wasn't me, just for the record. My truck's been in the garage for 2 weeks :smt090

Bikes had to watch out for trucks where I come from though, well, at least one truck.

It's nothing to get the 99+ Silverados in the 11s now. I get the same attitude towards fbodies when I try them in my truck. After the race, they usually have a different attitude about it all together

although.. i highly doubt "its nothing"... but i know it can be done. With the aftermarket support of the LS motors trucks benefit alot!

I guess it all really depends on what some consider nothing. :smt048 We have some single cab 5.3Ls getting low 12s with a cam/stall/bolt ons. My truck went 12.40 with the 6.0L(poor 4.8L was tired), cam, boltons, and 3000 stall. Traction was still pretty poor though. Now I'm looking to get back to the track with the 150 shot, the new fuddle 3800, and the new 28" slicks. Hoping for some great numbers. :-)

DO NOT dismiss diesels, esp. Duramax and 1st Gen Ram Cummins (88-93)..I see low 10s all the time now, it's scary.
