Woodward Match Up!

First off, I know what you guys are going to say, but it was unavoidable :-)

Anyways, after leaving AE last night, I ran into the modded black svt lightning that kept goosing it every time he passed our spot. After last year's "unfotunate incident," I was more than leary to take a run on the avenue.

We dogged it back and forth a few times. Both of us knew the other had a blower and we could scoot. After looping around twice, we ran into each other again heading northbound. This time I kept it nice and slow and lead him north past 16 mile. He wanted it bad and followed glued to my door handle.

We reached an long open spot and went from a 35 roll. He gave me the "go" so I dropped the hammer. We only went as long as second gear but it was clear he was going to see more of my tail lights then he wanted.

We slowed again, this time to about 25. We nailed it and I walked him again through second.

At the next light he grinned and asked. I gave him the usual specs. Referring to my car I said "not bad for a grocery getter," to which he replied "not bad for a farm truck" referring to his ride. We laughed and went home.

A good kill, but man, that lightning was pretty quick.

Just to let you know Mike, when I left to go home Saturday night that black Lightning rode along side of me from 13 1/2 all way down to 696. I finally told him that the guy he ran the night before got popped in that area last year and then I told him I would not race him there. I then hit 696 and headed home. This guy is gonna get popped as much as he running out there.
