yah - that was me.

I saw y'all lookin' and jabberin' at the 12 mile lite. I got around the car in front of me to let you by - then when you hung alongside, I figured a little burst wouldn't hurt. the cops wer all over the north end of the street, BTW - down there was the only place to roll that I could see.

First rule of streetin - Never race a sportbike. I knew the outcome B4 I tipped in; just hadn't run one B4 so's I figured I'd give it a whirl. that it was you and brian is pretty cool!

FWIW - I've run some pretty stout Harleys with Max and beat 'em - but you've prolly done the same. Seein' you on the bikes gave me the bike jones for a little while again - I had to sell off all of mine on account of I can't afford to get stung again.

thanks for the run - I appreciated it - it was fun!

haha yea we were chasing you from like 13 mile, not to much else was out there and we were in a racin mood(what a suprise)

and yes I've noticed that rule applied alot, it's hard to get anyone to race. Makes me feel like the big gumpy kid at recess that nobody will play with :smt090

What do you mean getting stung on one? That definatly was fun, hope to see you out there again :smt023

I was pleased with the outcome - hell, Max hung witcha the second time for what? a second and a half? You musta been draggin' the brake...

Yah - I usedta ride year-round; would put 6000 miles a year on a bike. I've been stung three times on a M/C, and have had 3 hospital stints besides. The 'fix' (epinephrine) speeds up the heart, and when you get to be as old as me - well, it makes yer heart go pop.

so - I've voluntarily hung up my jacket and helmet, altho I still know what it feels like to whip that tach needle around in less than a second....

Ya this bike doesn't make much power until I hit about 10-11000 rpm, and pulls like all hell until redline(tach shows 17500 rpm, but in reality its redline is 16000)

What kind of bike did you have? At least you did the voluntary action before more problems came about, definatly the wisest choice.

That isn't true really at atll. A lot of the current fuel injected bikes will usually destroy most street cars, but some of the older carberated ones aren't nearly as fast. I got into it a little bit on I94 the other day heading to my Dads with an older Ninja. I have no idea about the power band on those bikes, but when my turbo spooled up I pulled on him pretty easily. I even let off and as he was catching up matted it again and got the same results.

Disclaimer, yes I realize the two bikes involved are both newer, fuel injected and retarded fast...just saying not all bikes are that fast, haha.

:smt120 not that I have any experience... but from 0-120, most crotch rockets will kill most street cars but from 120 up it is a little different. I realize this depends on the car/bike bla bla but say you have a 4th gen something or other f-car and it is making 310-350 hp. Drop to 3rd at about 75 and run through 5th, by the time you hit 130+ you will be even with a newer 600-650 bike but at about 145 you might just start to pull and pull until the guy is behind you or afraid you might run him down thus just givin you a thumbs up and a hand signal to back off. This is all based on um, many many calculations on my um, calculator, not personal experience...I sware.
