Scion tC tries...

So - I'm out last nite rollin' up and down the Street, checkin' out the fruits of my labor (trans swap). New trans feels niice - very firm and positive!

As I'm rollin' up to the last lite B4 turnin' off onto my side street, I see a car sawin' thru traffic to be in the first row. I can't see what it is, tho - there's an SUV between me and the other car. Dunno if they're gonna run or not...

Lite goes green - I hear a rev and a chirp. Got dang if it ain't one of them pesky little Scion tC's - and this one's goin' for it!

I snickered a little bit B4 opening up a can of V8 whoop-ass...

Whacked the throttle plates open; the engine roared in response. Back end squatted - and I immediately put lengths on the guy. The new trans banged second hard - front end actually popped up on the gearchange - first time THAT's ever happened!

Partway thru 2nd, I peeped the side view - I'd pulled 5 lengths, and the nose on the Scion dipped in defeat. Cute little windup car.

Now - normally I don't take on cutesy little thingumbobs, but:

I was in my wife's Buick station wagon.

Wood on the sides.

Whitewalls.

AARP special.

Nice.
