First F-Body

Alright dont laugh and if you got something smart to say then please dont reply, but i was comin home from work tonite and im on a lil country road and i pull up to the stoplight (the only one in my hometown, literally) and there was a black camaro in front of me. Sounded good, looked good, it was dark so i couldnt see if it was a Z28 or what, but he stomped it and when i realized it i kicked it, he quit pulling away from me and then when i opend the 4 barrel and almost rearended him, then we turned right and went down a back road and i gained on him again then he turned off and i went home, i know your thinking "so, whats your point?" but the last and only 2 f-bods i raced raped me(white WS6 and red Z28, both loud as hell) so it was the first f bod i didnt lose to

mighta been a V6 with an exhaust and some headwork/camwork etc.?

yup V6 prolly with a catback or somthing..

unless your car runs low 13s you dont have much of a chance even against a stock V8...

your right, those early 305s in Fbods were HORRIBLE!

What are the specs on your Buick? Car looks great in that pic - is it a nice sleeper??

it was a new camaro,

Swapped Chevy 307 out for a Jasper Class II Olds 307
Holley 600 CFM
K&N Air Filter
K&N Xtreame Racing Top
Moroso 8mm Spark Plug Wires
Rebuilt Trans
Cooper Cobra P225/70R14
2 Tornados (they were free)
Tach
Straight Pipes With Trans-Am Style Exhaust Tips
Flow-Tech Long Tubbed Headers
Gutted Cat
Bosch Platinum+2 Spark Plugs
Sound Deadening Removed
Spare and jack Removed
Some Heat Shields Removed
A few other things like tightened detent cable

I can only spend about 30 bucks a week out of my check cuz of gas, insurance, cell etc.

Basically a new V8 w/ Fuel injection can take me

Yeah its good enuff for a high school student, ive only lost to a camaro, WS6, Powerstroke, Thunderbird SC and i go crusin every weekend.
