First Kill of 2006

It was such a nice day today here in the Motor City that I felt I just had to drive my Marauder to work today. It was also the day that my first kill of 2006 would occur.

I like to take the long way to work on days like this just to have more time in my car. I decided I would take Telegraph Rd. to Ford road today. As I made the turn onto Ford road I was stopped by a red light there at the intersection. I look into my rearview mirror and I see a 2004 Taurus and a 1998 Mustang Cobra approching me. The Cobra was in the left lane. This is also the lane that would be ending once we crossed the intersection. The guy in the Cobra pulled into the left lane thinking he will have an easy jump on me and make it around me before the lane ended. Boy, was he wrong. I knew when the light changed he was gonna try and take me so I waited. The light changed and we were off. The inersection there is pretty bumpy so I took it easy on it. Also, I am still wearing my stock tires for the winter. I still pulled a half of car before we got to the smooth part of the road where I really got into it. That's when it was lights out. The Cobra had just been whooped by the big bad family car.

After this the guy smiled and waved to me and then laid low the rest of the way down Ford rd. Man, I love this car.

i believe it i have a 93 grand marquis with a 97 mustang gt (at least thats what i am told by the guy who ownd it) in it and it moves. I have somked some nice cars but i have also gotten my ass whooped by the maurader... good job

if they both jump at the same time then sure but..... i dont think that the cobra was ready for that so kudos for the surprize and that sucks for the stang plus he backed off because he knew he had been beaten :smt045

Flat 13' at 105mph in 80 degree weather. We have a couple guys deep in the 11's.
