Can I Beat a 69 Mach 1

So here goes. I drive a 98 Z-28, M6, T Tops, with intake and Flowmaster exhaust(I know, I know too restrictive. Soon to be SLP Loudmouth). Anyway my girlfriends parents own a 69 Mach 1, candy apple red with a 351 windsor bored 30, 600 cfm holly carb, with a very mild cam, and flowmaster exhaust (40 series) very beautiful car. It has stock gears and the stock 3 speed cruise o matic. They seem so assured they can beat me, and since they are my girlfriends parents I don't want to talk smack. I honestly don't think there's any chance they could take me but I'm just wondering is there any chance that they could beat me. Also if anyone has raced a 69 Mach 1 I'd like to hear the outcome.

3 speed trans, hmm i dunno man. urs is a M6, which is gonna leave more ot be made up once u get off the line.

Thats true. Got a ball park what hp he might be pushing it's rated for 290 stock but he thinks he has 400 i said no way he laughed. He swears up and down a mild cam, 600 holly carb, and bored 30 is it

But your saying its bored .30 over.

Thats telling me hes not being very truthful about whats done to that motor. But then again it could simply be part of the resto rebuild.

Yeah a couple of years ago it started smoking real bad so they had the engine rebuilt. thats when they put the cam in and bored it

Yeah, then boring it is def part of the rebuild. If he went .30 over then he had to get new pistons.

I dunno, a lot of unknowns here. Best way to do it is put em on the streets and run em for the hell of it.
