05 altima vs. 66 stang
here's one for ya. 2005 altima vs. 1966 mustang coupe. stang-256k, 200ci I6 (only fresh part is the cam, broke into three pieces the race before), single bbl carb, off-timing (aprox 30degs at the time), 4-wheel man drum brakes. altima-one hell of a lot less miles, no motor probs (i would hope). rt. 35 north, headin into south amboy, nj (just past abyss night club), aprox 3:30-4:00. pulled to the light, 30-something guy in alt. looks over, pops it into neutral and revs it. since i have auto (for now) too, i don't bother revin it. light changes and we both floor it. guy gives me a good run for about 40-50 yards, than its mine. just before my exit off the highway there's a strip club, normally no cops at this time of day. today, he's there and watchin. i get to the top of the hill and look at my gauge, 125mph. i start to hit the breaks so i can take my turn. crown vic pulls out of the lot, d/s head light out, til he hit's the switch and they start flashin. took my ramp at 50, almost hit the rail, didn't stop at the bottom and took about 12 side streets before i went to my old apt. luckiest day of my life.
