327 fiero vs MN

OK i live in MN- now i know there are some mungs down at prokies off of university that do street races and what not with their little ricers-

One i would like to know if any of you know what i am talking about.

two if you know there times on their cars at all. I am looking to take my 327 fiero and make sure i kill them all. i have come accross ricers before and they just drive me nuts- i know enough abou them (whihc is almost everything including messing with the ecu of a honda through mitsus) so i know what they can and can't do with the irght amount of cash- but there is no way they are going to not be taken by a 350 rwhp fiero with kiss ass suspension with a 5spd and a posi tracktion.

i just want to put all those ricers in their place thank you if you can help me do this - just need to know some times is all.

Sounds like you have aquick ride , my technique to take care of ricers is to use my Ford Expedition and crowd them off the road.

The curb weight stock, is like 2500 lbs. from what i could find online? Is that right? Seems a little heavy cuz its all fiberglass.

I dont think your going to have a problem at all. Unless you get some guy in a better than average SRT-4 Stage 3 Turbo, than he might be licking your heels.

Your getting the torque with that 8 cyl though so kiss those rice ass bitches goodbye. HP/WT ratio is going to be a lot better than some of those other cars you might encounter.

Assuming you could get traction from that much torque in that small a car (even if the engine is in the back), you should be able to destroy any of them unless they have $20K invested under the hood for actual performance stuff and not just pretty lights. I've always wanted a V8 Fiero or Miata :smt055 . My first car was a Fiat X1/9 which is what the Fiero is based off of. The 1.5L wasn't very fast, but it could handle like no other. SHOW ME SOME PICTURES OF THAT BEAST!

i use my huffy to do that. personally i think that any of ford's Ex's or even a triumph tr6 is over kill when crowding a ricer off the road. :smt067 BLAST 'EM TA PIECES!!!!!!

i have only see two ricers, civics to be exact, that i can say i respect. they are both sleepers - no kits, wings, stickers, shiny rims - stock looks and an ass load of power.

Ricers have alot more too them then most might think i am not trying to defend them but those that are not truly rice but are actualy just driving a import car and trying to make it fast can do it fairly easily with research.

1. subaru? take the old brat from the 77 to 87 and do the imprezza swap about 3gs for the entire setup.

2. mazda? take a 383 stroker sbc and drop it in the 2nd gen rx7 go have a blast. about 4-5 grand.

3. nissan? rb26dett in a 91 240sx swap would go about 6-7 grand.

4. datson (if you want an OLD nissan) take a caddilac 500 (with only an aluminum intake they weigh only 40 pounds heavier than a sbc) put it in a 70' 240z the swap would be about 4 grand. (but 425 hp and 575 ft pounds eh?)

5. mitsubitshi? this is a little more diificutl their trannies are difficult to work with seeing tha tthey have a hard time NOT blowing to smithereens. either way take a six bolt motor with a halbrow boost controller do all the turbo mods use synchro mesh for a stick NEVER use an auto with a mitsu. a mitsu to get in teh low twelves costs about 2 gs anything past you MUST buy a special made tranny wich cost about 3 gs and your good to the 8 second mark.

6. oh the honda? take a b16a drop put in arias 8.0 forged pistons. make your own turbo kit for about 1500 and drop it in a crx. it would cost about 4 for entire swap and about 600 more for the special pistons. so about 5 grand.

7. toyota take a last year cressida (which alread has the supra motor) and through a 1500 doller single turbo kit (which i know of ) which will give you about 450hp to the wheels. the car it self costs about 1200 no more or less there (GET A WAGON IF YOU DO THIS SO MUCH COOLER TO HAVE A SLEEPER WAGON!)
----------------
Now with this all said and done my fiero costed me 400 bucks with a shity battery and a bad alternator - i bought the 327 for 200 wich came with a granny low tranny. i can sell the two trannys and the 2.8 lt v6 on ebay to mostly pay for the car. i then buyt the archie kit for 900 or so and peice the rest together for about a grand. i'll have a 12 second car that should get 25 to the gallon for about 2 grand.
----------------
ALL i need to knwo is if ANY of you go down to porikies do you all knwo what the mung ricer go in the 1/4 ?
