well, i disagree on the vette being a car a guy gets to try and make up for something. the porsche yes, vette NO WAY! porsche's are known as the "little penis cars". vette's are pure american muscle at it's finest!i watched this thing (not that i wasn't already a vette man) on vette's an how they used the knowledge from runnin the le mans (i think, was a very drunk night in history) to make the car perform better on the road. and they celebrated 50 this year (right? 1955-2005?).

"on vette's an how they used the knowledge from runnin the le mans''

Every product porsche makes is desigend from their race team.
The carreraa gt is built from f1 designs the engine and suspesnion all f1
Every body busts on boxsters (me included) but go run an autocros with one and watch it tear up modified f bodies and vettes.
Porsches ign is on the left side of the dash.......why.......becasue thats where they put it 45 years ago for lemans style starts. You would be hard pressed to find a easier to drive fast arounda track car then a boxster people on their first track event can turn in fast times with out trying becasue the car is setup so well. 911s are great cars too, they take a lil practice though to get them to go trhough corners and come out in the direction you want to go.

i never said they weren't excellent cars but the ppl who usually buy them are tryin to make up for somethin, not race the le mans or grand prix. heay they are bad ass cars and deserve their credit.
