well yeah, if by big block you mean small block and by stock you mean a specially built c5r

However, tests have proven it to have as high as 770 bhp at the rear wheels

not hardly.....the most they got at the wheels were around 600(which is still awesome), with, i believe, those engines getting the full c5r package.....only a couple cars got that, most of the 30-some stage 3s got around 500 to the wheels, using a combination of a c5r block and ls6 top end......

the fastest cars that gmmg tested for real were in the high tens with 120 something traps on slicks ....

anybody remember this? http://www.gregbloor.com/Duke_Out.shtml
moss versus coletti, gm versus ford, mustang versus camaro......read the article and you can see how so many half truths get out there(like the supposed zl1 big block in the camaro actually being a donovan), and ford guys still thinking they won with a 429(it was actually a 598).....the results never lived up to the hype, especially since both cars kept breaking down.....i don't know what happened to the mustang, but the camaro went into drag race mode and ended up in the 9s eventually.....

and the best part is, you can still find people all over the place talking about how fast those two cars were "stock" :smt017

Geez - you go away for a while, and threads take on a lif of their own!

Interesting read - fun to pull folks' chains by allowing them to 'assume' a specific brand loyalty purely on the basis of the recenttly ran ride.

I'm a car slut. I've owned stuff from all the major manufacturers. It's all good, and subject to personal preference.
