'06 charger r/t finds his place in the food chain.....

i don't really go looking for races, but every now and then it just happens......like this morning for instance:

i was rolling to work in the z28 doing about 65-70 on westbound 94 at about quarter after 4 in the a.m., when what should appear to my right but a cool vanilla charger r/t.....for what it's worth, in white with the chrome rims it actually looked pretty good on the road, like a sportier 300.....anyways, the way the guy gunned it to merge onto 94 from 12 mile, i'm guessing he'd been watching too much television and had an inflated sense of what his new baby could do(i.e. take out a top fuel dragster on his way back from starbucks).....i waited for him to put his nose ahead of mine then i mashed the pedal for about 2 seconds and put a couple cars on him........let off, let him catch up, waited for him to go, did the same thing........
by the third time he held back and just stayed about 5 cars behind me till his exit came up and then he gassed it and i let him on his merry way....wouldn't look over at me though.....
anyways, wasn't much of a "showdown", but seeing as how the charger effects my profit sharing check :smt023 i didn't want the guy going around making an ass out of himself taking on f-bodies in front of an audience, so i took the chance to give him an education
:smt045

He would have no chance running your car.

Nicely done! :smt023

It's always fun to spank a fresh-outta-the-box ride.

spotted an orange one with the 'daytona' stripe on the side...

Dunno 'bout the looks of the car, to be honest. It's kinda goofy looking; don't think it will sell as well as the 300.

i HATE the daytona's paint schemes......the charger's are kinda funny, some of them i think look good, others look like crap(at least in my opinion, depending on color/wheel/body combo)

they won't sell as well as the 300, but as of the end of may they'd sold 27k.....

shoot, it's funny how many carbed guys that DO race STILL think you need all that to get 11s......i was only in the 12s last year and guys were assuming i was spraying and/or had engine work done....just a stock ls1, nothin' special :smt045
