That's great and all, but Ford and Chrysler still need to find a better way to get good gas mileage out of their cars. New Camaro is going to get 30+ miles on the highway. The Challenger and Cobra is going to get low 20 something... Not good at all, especially when you're like me and wanting to get 2 cars. I'm looking at gas mileage and all that, people who say they aren't are nuts, because premium isn't going to be cheap in the future!!!!

So a 5.3 DoD Camaro might get 30 MPG. That's not the one anyone is going to want if they even actually make one like that. It's all they need to compete with the Mustang GT really though I guess. Ford is going to need to step up with some N/A 5.4 option. I really hope they do with some of the Australian parts just because I want to be able to buy the Australian parts here :). But with an LS-2 option in the Camaro and with the Challenger having a 425 HP version a Cobra R like power plant would make Ford a player in that segment of the muslce car war rather than just the 300 HP area and then of course being king with the Shelby unless GM really does put an LS7 in them. I don't know. I hear people talk about that but I think it's wishful thinking.
In any case. I don't care about mileage. Best thing I own gets maybe 22 MPG on a good week. The Mustangs get what? 25? That ain't bad at all IMO.
