American Hot Rod

Anyone see the episode where Charley left and decided to go with Foose. I don't watch that show much, because of the manager, deffinately dislike him(such a dick). Supposively Charley left. I heard on another board. Anyone know about it?

Boyd's real pissed that Charlie left for Foose. Foose and Boyd have a history and something bad ended their friendship, so that's why Boyd was pissed that Charlie left. I don't blame him for leaving though. Under Boyd's deadlines, it just causes his employees to get stressed out so much and the job then gets rushed. I would have left a lot sooner than he did.

I love the end result bit it's just getting old ya'know? American Hot Rod, Chopper, even Extreme home makeover. they all have the same theme anymore....Impossible deadlines, however will we make it on time, tempers fly, people curse and cuss...............Do they really think that I'm sitting here on my couch going "OMG I hope they get it done on time!" <insert me biting my nails here> :piss

LOL, I agree with you. I only watch AHR to see the cars and AC to see the bike work, although I'm not a bike guy, but I like to see the work they perform. A lot of the storyline gets old though, especially when repeats are on 90% of the time. :smt015

shows like that attract a certain crowd. That certain crowd doesnt give two shits about deadlines (which seems to be the only problems they ever occur outside of something not fitting right due to an idiot with a broken calculator.) I wanna see cars and i wanna see how professionals work on them. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, no kidding. Seeing AHR has made me think less of the professionalism of Boyd's work. The two builders whom I think really have their shit together is Troy Trepanier and Foose. My top choice would be Troy, his work is outstanding and everything gets driven. The Chicane car is my favorite of his.
