350 Vortec

Hey Guys,

Heres an Issue im having.

I bought my 86' Iroc-z28 from a guy who builds alot of race cars. He was going to work with this car one day but decided to sell it and focus n his Nova. When I bought the car he told me he had put in a 350 Vortec.

My problem is Ive tried to do some research on the motor, but I can't find information to know if I really have a vortec. It seems like The 350 vortec is a newer motor. I do know my dad said that the distributor looked diffrent like the car was run by a computer. The carb dosent have the normal adjustment screws on the front. I

Any information on the Vortec motors, and ways I can identify what I have,
I would greatly appreciate.
