Will Muscle Car Values Hold Up

Muscle cars have really gone up in value. What is everyone's opinion as to how long this might last? Do you think the high price of gas will have any effect on their popularity? Do the younger people here have any interest in the muscle cars of the 60's & 70's.
Thanx!

Each era of car has it's day. It all depends on who has the money and what do they want. At one poit you couldn't buy a brass ear car for under 6 figures, now, baby boomers are retiring and what what they couldn't have or had at one time etc... eventually the market will change. I think you can give any "cool" car about 30-40 years to appreciate fully, the same is said for the generation it came out during.

i think young people will have a large interest in muscle cars.

im 16 and my favorite car is torn between a 1963 1/2 galaxie 500 with the 429, or maybe a 65 with the 429 cammer.

and a 1969 mustang BOSS 429.

i own a 78 mustang king cobra with a 1993 cobra motor in it.

if i had the money, i would easily fork it over for a mustang or galaxie.

i plan on fixing up my king and keeping it for a long time as well, it needs alot of TLC though. too much for my wallet right now. maybe after a signing bonus from the marines in a year and a few months will change that.

muscle car values are going to keep going up, its not like anymore of them are getting made. here in mich prices are ridiculous for old cars compared to down south and out west, here you can pay a couple grand for a pile of rust. alot of kids still like muscle cars but not alot have much cash so they go with the new mustangs f bodies and rice burners bc its something they can get into for a decent price and it runs ok stock

Value will definatly retain at high levels, just the other night I was watching a show about American Muscle cars and the prices they auction them for is ridiculous. 300,000$ on some cars! As of 2005 I believe the most expensive car in the world is a 1971 White Cuda drop top, its in pristine condition and is extremely rare. I dont remember the price off the top of my head, but it was VERY high, I think maybe even in the millions.

well if the trend has been going up then most likely wil stay on the up swing. hard to say as the suv world is now turning back to the car world due to gas prices.
