Well my first sports/muscle car was the 85 Trans Am, it was only a 4bbl 305 but with a couple mod's she was enough for me at the age of 17. It was deffinately a big step up from an 87 Olds Calais SE with a 2.5 tech 4 pushing a whoppin 115 hp but since the car only weighed 2400 lbs it was all that bad but the T/A made it look like the ugly kid on prom night.

I bought her from the original owner who stored it every winter since new and always put Mobil 1 in her. When I bought it she had 64k on her and when I sold it there was almost 100k on the odometer and she still made perfect compression and got 26 mpg on the highway thanks to a dynomax exhaust, high flw cat and a k&N filter. Other then upping the timing and tweaking the quadrajunk that was all the performance mod's she ever saw other then 17's wheels with Z-rated Perreli's which were a lot of fun, almost too much. I had a couple rediculous sound systems in it both of which were ganked by low life scum suckers the rest was in the details which broght me home a few trophy's. Funny, I haven't shown anything since that car and it was my first of uh, several. Guess I don't give a shit what other people think and buy them for myself to enjoy? Yup, that's it :smt045

My first car was a Mustang, that's a muscle car right? Eh, maybe not so much when it is a 1980 n/a 2.3L car. WooHoo! My parents had that and a 78 Cordoba with a 400 sitting around. They went to sell them both, then decided to keep one for me to drive when I turned 16. I lobbied for the Cordoba, would have been a sweet sleeper, dark metallic green with the half vynil top, ugly as fuck, but still cooler than a 4 banger stang. So I guess my first 'muscle car' would be the T bird. Although dad had a 70 Challenger that I got to drive a bunch. When I had my learners permit I think I drove it more than he did. Then the summer after my Senior year in high school my parents let me use a 67 Satellite vert they had. 318 car. It was a pretty bad ass car to drive around in though. I had to clean it up and do some maintenance stuff as it had been in storage a couple years before I drove it that summer.

Is it vinyl? I know there's a y and an i in there somehow. But no, no funny accent, I say it v eye n-l and not v(short i sound)n-l.

I'm not gonna go warsh Darrel's car either. E-ther, not I-ther, not that that one is specifically aimed at anything but while the pronunciation/english lesson is going anwyay...

How does water even stay in the bucket in your trunk? I would just have a wet trunk liner and an empty bucket.

My first fast car, to me anyway, was a 63 Impala with a 283. Brown primer with Keystone 70's in front, and Crager ss 60's in the back. Until the shock mount broke. I traded the car for a 2 door Vega wagon, with the intent to put a 327 in it. Oooops, it was junk.

Been seeing a lot of those Vegas out on Woodward lately, except the ones I see aren't junk. Big old engines with big old slicks on back!!! F#@#$ing Awesome!!!
