Chevy TBI to carb swap?

Hi I'm Jim
I am installing a motor in a 1989 full size blazer for someone as a side job.
The owner of the vehicle has purchased a new 350 crate motor from the dealer. its a 4 bolt main 290 hp but it is for a 84 blazer.
He has requested to remove the TBI and run a carb instead.
And has purchased a edelbrock carb and intake for it.
I have advised him to get a H.E.I as well.
As I procedded to install the flex plate on new motor I discovered it would not work on the older style motor.

Can anyone tell me if this motor swap is going to work and if so what other problems I might encounter ?
