FOG that might not 'fit in', but I AM a member of the car culture
My name is Jim. I am a 53 year old guy who have owned 27 vehicles (cars & trucks) and six motorcycles (the last one was a 1989 FLHTCU Harley Davidson that I owned for fifteen years).
My first car was a 1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible, 289 V8 with 3/4 grind Shelby cam, four speed. I owned that back in 1972. I sold my Harley about a year ago. And my custom 91 GMC Suburban about a month ago. I am currently down to one truck, though I am looking for some form of police interceptor of one kind or another.
Here is my current ride:

Thx for the welcome. Yeah, it's a big un all right. But in the world of Military vehicles, it's actually fairly small. Which is one of the reasons I got that instead of the five ton. Which is only a little bigger. The ten and twenty ton ones ARE absolutely HUGE.
So, Joe, been around a while also eh? At 53, most days I feel like I'm still late twenties or early thirties. EVERY once and a while I feel like I'm 103!
Thanks again. I am currently in the market for a nice used car that will take the abuse I seem to mete out to my vehicles. My maintenance is much higher than most, which is what allows me to abuse them. But if you purchase a stout one in the first place thats made to be abused (like my truck is), it's no big deal.

78KC,
You nailed it.
When I was still riding my Harley, I have a T shirt that I wore that said "Old Coots on Scoots".
I've been around the block for quite a while. Hope to be here a long time to come.
