New member from Columbus, Ohio

Hey Everyone,

My name's Joseph and I'm from Columbus, Ohio. I recently received an invitation and decided to sign up and check things out (maybe not RECENTLY, I've been out of town for an entire month and am coming home tomorrow). Everything looks good, so maybe I can contribute some or even come to hang out and chat. I've owned a handful of cars since I began driving. Mostly sporty cars, an economy and a semi-luxury/sport type of deal. But I won't just leave it to your imagination, here's the list:

1. 1993 Camaro Z28
2. 1995 Mustang
3. 1999 Mustang GT
4. 1994 BMW 318is
5. 2001 Geo Metro
6. 1995 Firebird Formula (Current)
7. 1992 Nissan Sentra (Temporary)

My firebird is parked in a garage safely in Ohio and I'm buying a Nissan Sentra today to use for the trip back from Louisiana to Ohio. I've had the firebird for almost four months now and it's shaping up to be a decent car. But I'm not content with the motor, so once I get home I'll have a project car. My intentions are to buy an LS2 and put it in place of the LT1. And maybe a T-56 to top it off. Intentions meaning I haven't saved up enough money to buy both (including other needed accessories).

A thanks ahead of time to all who post. I appreciate it, I just may not be able to post a reply for a few days to a week. I've been working in Louisiana helping my cousin and aunt rebuild their houses. Anyone on the boards who lived in Louisiana and left for the hurricane bothered coming back? It's looking a lot better in Slidell. I can't really say New Orleans is looking that great though. I haven't been downtown yet, but I went to look at the Nissan Sentra in a neighborhood close to it, a little ways past Elysian Fields. Still a ton of flood cars, but not so many in the newspaper. Anyway, once I come back to the website and I'm back at my house I'll post some pictures of the sentra and the firebird. And whenever the build-up starts I'll post pictures as it goes along. See ya'll!

Thank you all for the welcome! Not too much going on, it's a little late at night and I've basically just made it home. But anyway, I wasn't a fan of the 318is in terms of power because of the four cylinder, but it was great on gas. It was well taken care of when I bought the car to drive. It had two hundred and twenty some thousand miles on it. I believe I wanted it because it had been so long since I had owned a stick-shift. Also, it wasn't a hatchback version either. A lot of the time the reason for my selling or buying another car had to do with me being unsatisfied with it.

After owning the Z28 and having to get rid of it, I kept wanting something comparable to it. My dad and I had worked on the Z28 the summer before I started driving it. Almost right after the car was finally in my name, I sold it to get something better on gas for reliable transportation. So then came the V6 mustang with a common problem with mustangs, overheating, broken ignition and ignition switch at some point. But the gas mileage was a little better (not much). I think a lot of people have been there, dealing with gas prices and trying to save money to get back and forth to where I needed to go.

The only bad thing that happened while in Louisiana was that the guy sold the Nissan Sentra right from under my nose and didn't tell me until the next day. So I ended up buying a little honda accord with a dent in the front left fender and driving it home. I was surprised, eighty-five dollars for a nine-hundred and twenty mile trip was great.

I have a lot more pictures of the damage, but have any of you ever seen anything like these (the toilet picture is real, regardless of how funny it might be):

I would post pictures of my car tonight, but that's a bit of a problem due to the time. Tomorrow morning I'm going to pick up a truck, so I'll be back early around twelve. I'll post them about then for anyone who is interested in seeing them. Thanks again for the welcome and take care everyone! [/img]

Hey man, not too much. Here's a couple of pictures, including a cavalier that needs to be redone entirely. From a Z24 to something unrecognizable. As for the accord, I haven't got around to parking it in the driveway or even attempting to clean it up.

- 1995 Firebird Formula

- 1997 Z24 Cavalier
