hello the UK! I have a couple of friends across the pond, but sadly they aren't into cars. Hope your new year goes well also!

Thanks guys,
Despite the high price of petrol (sorry, gas!) in the UK (about $7 a gallon, read it and weep) a!'! , there is a thriving American car scene in the UK. In the last 13 years, I've had a 1989 Trans Am GTA and now the 'vette, and my wife has had a Dayvan. Wer're thinking of getting a pick-up of some kind, maybe a Harley F150, or a Dodge Rumblebee. There are numerous American car shows down the year over here, and a number of different American Car Clubs representing all the marques, and a few that cater for all American car enthuisasts.
Considering getting an American foir my daily driver. Contemplating a Mustang. The new ones look just great, however my first love has to be the 'vette! /_//

$7 bucks a gallon :smt017 Do you have to take out a loan to afford to drive over there? That vette sure sounds nice any pics?

The high price is entirely due to tax, both Petrol Duty and also VAT (a sales tax that is added on to both the gas price and the price after duty has been added! !#!/ Without these taxes gas would be the same price as in the US. Despite this some people own and drive gas guzzling SUV's, even Cadillac Escalllades!
If I can figure out how to attach a pic of my ride to a message I'll post one!
