MY CAR
1995 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34
less than 70,000 miles
charcoal leather interior
car is virtually STOCK now, aside from the black painted side molding.
Not stock:
-Dual Flowmaster 40 series mufflers
-Bypassed emissions vacuum lines (see below)
-Disconnected EGR valve (see below)
-Headlight switch overlay is aluminum w/dots for off/park/headlamps. (UPDATE: Found original overlay - can/will install - weather-permitting)
-Back panel is spraypainted black with NO emblems.
-Alarm:
(UPDATE: Alarm will NOT be included)
-Black painted sidemolding/door guards.
The good:
-The car has NEVER ONCE left me stranded. Always has started, has never given trouble.
-The car looks very good for a 95. No visible rust bubbles/spots. Only a couple dents/dings/scratches. When clean, paint still is deep and shiny.
-Intake gaskets (upper and lower) were changed approx a year and a half ago. Car has a 180* tstat. Car has Rapidfire plugs, Accel wires. Will throw in the GM STB/zzp directfit brackets, and a RedZ Short Ram intake.
The bad:
-EGR valve is unplugged. Has old style 3-solenoid valve...i
think one solenoid periodically sticks as it causes a click and a rough idle. No adverse effects w/the valve unplugged other than an SES light.
-A/C needs work. I think my compressor is siezing. If you kick the a/c on, the idle drops and occasionally the compressor makes odd noises (howl, rapidly will engage/disengage, etc). If/when it works fine, the a/c still blows cold.
-Timing belt is original. Still looks fine, but COULD be due for a change. Depends how the vehicle will be driven.
-A couple broken emissions vacuum lines have been bypassed with breather filters. These lines are solely vents to reburn emissions-polluted gases. Don't know if the car will pass emissions testing w/the EGR situation and this also. Depends on your local laws for testing and requirements.
-
Pass. power door lock solenoid does not work. Must be manually locked/unlocked. [UPDATE: Solenoid hooked back up, unlocks intermittently, locks all the time]
-Struts still feel fine, but rear mounts have the typical rattles. Might want to be looked into.
-Center console lid is broken (shocker

these always break on the 95-99 Monte Carlos)
-Small tear right along the rear seat stitching along the top of the seatback.
