Hi guys. The car is a Red T-top 1991 RS Camaro. It is powered by a fully built and all-forged 355 LT1 from a 1995 WS6 and a 4L60-E from the same car. I built it to be clean and to be a real SLEEPER. The LT1 swap was a very involved project converting not only the mechanical parts but all of the electronics from an older car and the newer engine to get everything to work like it was factory made. Unless you're next to the car at a light and the driver flashes the 2800 rpm stall converter.... you'll never guess it's anything more than a stock 305 with a loud exhaust.
Although I never installed the blower, the compression, all forged shortblock internals, head selection, cam specs, gearing and converter were all chosen to be matched with a 9 to 12psi blower, such as an ATI Procharger D-1SC. :smt025 :smt077
The car was also built to remain emissions-legal.
Now I'm trying to make room in my driveway and put a little cash aside for a new condo, so I'm letting her and her Trans Am sister go.
They're kind of like alter-egos. The RS is meant to be clean and surprise the crap out of people. The Trans Am is louder than muscle cars and tears the crap out of everyone both on the straight line and the corners. Both cars are built with very similar parts from the same companies.... just used to different effect.
Give them a look!
