86 Lincoln Town Car, must go!
OK, yes this is the car I pick on but it is a really good project car that I no time for and just plain lost interest.
It is a Signiture series and pretty well loaded, most of it still works too! Dual power seats, auto climate control, heated mirrors, pretty much every option other then leather and a moon roof. Cruise works too. The car has around 125k on it but I need to check the actual miliage.
It has all new brakes including lines, master cylinder, rotors, calipers, hoses, drums, hardware, you name it, it's is new. Also there is a new fuel tank, pump and lines. 4 new tires and a good spare in the trunk. Also new pitman arm, outer tie rods if I remember right.
The body is very straight with very little rust at all and just just a few dings and scrapes but shows no signs of even being hit. The only bad spot is under the right front passenger door and that isn't even that bad considering how these cars melt in the salt.
Now for the things it really needs. The trans is shot (just slips and leaks, no hard parts broken) but should be a good core to rebuild and the engine does have main bearing knock. The engine starts great, runs strong and uses a little oil but I think it will last another 10-20 thousand easy if taken care of. I have heard of them going much longer but I am being conservative and honest. The exhaust is also in need of replacement but I might have that done anyway since it is so cheap.
There is a LOT of new parts, more money in parts alone then what I am asking for the car so I can't post it all but I have full receipts, and even the original build sheet which I found under the back seat. I am asking $1200 but will consider all offers that aren't insulting. PM me with any questions or to get my phone number.
