Good evening folks:
Long time lurker, first time poster. I signed up a while back, and always browsed around at the nice rides this site has to offer. So I figured it was time to post mine up.
She's a 1972 Pontiac Le Mans Sport purchased back in September of 2006 for $1,500 with bad brakes a dented grille. The car is about 90% original except for motor, trans and front grille. Sports a 350cui SBC motor with a TH350 built by Accurate Transmission. Standard GM 10" non-posi rear (not sure of the gears, its original so whatever came stock that year)
My investment:
-Complete tune up
-New brakes and master cylinder
-New power steering pump w/ lines and steering box
-New alternator
-New tie rods (inner and outters)
-Upper and lower ball joints on both sides
-New radiator, tranny cooler and electronic fan
-Edelbrock 4bbl carbuerator and intake manifold
-Serviced all fluids
-Cleaned inside, new seat covers (cheap) and molded dash cover
-water temp, oil pressure, ammeter, and tachometer
-CD player with speakers
-New valve cover gaskets
-3" true dual exhaust with headers.
-Wheels/tires were given to me by my GF's father from his Chevelle
Did all the work myself while I worked for AAMCO... all parts totalling around $1,500. Compounded and buffed it up to a great shine. Total investment 3 grand. Has somewhere around 300hp +/- Let me know what you all think!
