alrighty, and i'm finally pretty much finished with everything that needs to be done engine wise, so i'll be putting the motor back in tomorrow morning. i'll have the car running in the morning, so i'm taking my camcorder with me, so i'll post a video when i get back home tomorrow evening.

and the video, as promised. this is the first time the engine was ever started. it still needs to be timed and the carb still needs adjusting because it's running way rich, but you get the general idea of what it'll sound like. enjoy...

Those heads flow pretty good stock? Is header clearance a issue on those cars? Nice ride:)

I wouldn't exactly say that they flow "good", but they flow good enough for the engine to run strong. I'm planning on replacing the heads sometime soon anyways, this was just to get me by for a while. Header clearance isn't too bad on the 289/302 block. It's still pretty tight, but not overly squished. You can still get at the spark plugs and everything and you don't have to modify the engine bay any to get them to fit.
