hey i never really got to ask you...what rear end are you running in there? are you running the stock 10 bolt? or are you running a GN or a malibu rear?

Im asking because with my 350 i blew the stock rear end with 4.10s and right now i have a 83 grand prix rear end in my beast now and was wondering what you were running...as if you had any suggestions..besides dont do burnouts with the stock rear ends...because they hate em.

Chris,
I'm runnin a 12bolt from a late 60's Chevelle. The Chevelle rear end is wider than stock g-body so the wheel offset will be different. I've got 9" rims with 5-7/8" bs, I had 8" draglites on it and ran 5-1/2"bs with them. Stock g-body bs is 3-1/2" to 4". Another thing is using that rear the upper control control arm mounts are narrower(I think), you can run stock arms but it's a pita to line them up and ya really tweek the bushings. If you use an arm with solid heim joints on each end there is no problem at all, or there's a guy that goes by pitqueen on ebay that sells them specifically for that use. He's a good guy and makes all kinds of suspension parts for g-bodies pretty cheap.

For you on a budget I'd just swap in a GN rear that's got some work done to it. You can find some deals for the rear from drum to drum for about $800.

Everyone else, thanks for the comments and more pics and video soon to come :smt023
