im a bit partial to the SPEC III but i also did that clutch, and i havent had any complaints except that some people think its too stiff for theyre pansy a$$, oh well. i cant say anything bad about SPEC even though some people dont like em. there are many choices out there, Hayes, Centerforce, SPEC, Zoom, Ram, do your research and think about what else you want to do with the car before you buy. whatever you do though, be sure to put at least 500 miles on it before you start beating on it or youll be beating yourself up later... not good
P.S. i did the install myself

if you dont have any previous mechanic work then plan on it take awhile, but if so then it shouldnt take but a couple hours or so, i have a friend that did it in 30 mins with a lift... but anyway, take it slow double and triple check everything and be sure to break it in right whatever you do.

remember to torque every bolt on that flywheel, disc, and pressure plate to their proper amount.

I suggest a Spec stage 2 for a non-lightly modified LT1. I dont know your mods so im just throwing that out. I also run a stage 2 and it has held up fine to a 100 shot

Stage 2 if you have mild mods. Zoom and Centerforce are also good. I have sold all of these brands and the only complaint that I have had is when somebody demanded a Stage 3 SPEC. All he had was a catback, I tried to talk him out of it. :}n But he didn't listen.
