brake conversion for 69 camaro

hey guys, I'm trying to convert my 69 camaro from drum to disc brakes and was hoping someone could tell me if the system from say a 80's model would work on my car? Is there a better donor i should consider? The same question applies to my rearend, i have a 10 bolt limited slip and have always heard that the 12 bolt posi was the way to go. Any help or suggestions are appreciated! thanks -l-l- ;)

i think they sell kits. You might have to fabricate some bracketry to fit.

With stock HP ratings the 10 bolt will do you fine. if you are going to build it then a 12 bolt is a better choice but twice the cost of a strong 10 bolt. Can't help much on the brakes I know A bodies better.

as far as the brakes go stainless steel brakes has a nice factory style disc kit. willwood and strange sell race disc kits. The 10 bolt will hold up to regular abuse with 600 hp as I have a friend who has a firebird who runs mid 10's with one and hasent had any problems for a couple years now.
