next time turn the ignition on and off 3 times.. then turn it all the way over... does it start up right away or still take a bit?

is that a mechanical fuel pump or a electrical one?

you said you replaced wires and plugs? Have you actually replaced the starter and starter solenoid? It could be right there.

Either that or your battery has a fried cell in it. Have it checked out at sears, they do it for free.

weve checked the battery and the alternator, replace wires, plugs, control module and its not making the grinding sound of the starter but i replace the distributor cap and rotor today, if it happens again ill check the starter, since i replaced the cap its starting up quicker too (that was one of the problems too)

right but if your solenoid is not engaging the starter gear than it will just make clicking sounds instead of grinding sounds.

agreed, in fact thats the first place you should check before doing any other analysis of an electrical system, if a fuse is burnt then you gotta check for shorts in the circuit. Its tough, we will try and help you out.

Actually you should check the fusible links ( they will be stretchy like a rubber band if one actually goes out). Also it is most likely a ground circuit or solenoid if the starter motor isn't turning slowly all the time. If it is, that is the starter motor creating a ass load of resistance in the circuit. This can also cause the "magic smoke" to be released never to return again.
