Testing a ignition control mod.

Anyone know how to test an ignition control module? Come on white phoenix your a walking car manual. Either my ignition control is gone or my opti is dying.

Take it to AutoZone, they do it for free on their tester. You have to have the special tester for ICM's, can't use an ohm meter like on ignition coils.

not a huge fan of The Zone but yea they can test it...

also to make the ICM last longer do this simple mod... unbolt it from the block and add 2-3 washers behind this. Because the heads get so warm they transfer the heat to the ICM with in its origional form is flush with the block. Pull it off and give it some room too cool...

only took me about 5 min to do...
