I never did get the final word on what was in it. A TH350 is just fine. With just a couple mods, the one in the 70 is quite strong. If they are putting an off the shelf shift kit in, ask them for or bring them one from Transgo.

Don't go higher then a 3.73 if you want to get on the epressway without putting tractor tires on it. :smt048

^ yessir.

TH350 is the tranny im opting for, rebuild with a 2500-3000 RPM stall, gotta figure out some other things before i opt for too high of a stall.

3 speed trans with big gears and big stall = no fun on the highway, remeber that with a 3 speed your gear ratio is your rpm at 70 so 373s at 70 would be 3700 rpm. I would run a 373s with a 3200 rpm stall and some taller rear tires to kill the gearing

If you're looking to race all the time, pick a big converter, but make sure you have a decent side wall(small rim.) Don't pick low profile!

If you race occasionaly at the strip, but love to cruise more like me, go mild. It's as simple as that!!!!!

One thing Jay told me is he likes driving his bike now because of the gas mileage. Hence the (big converter on his TA)! Jay said it guzzles gas like no other now. I personally would like to keep my mileage around where it is at right now and go with a mild converter and still have low profile tires. That's just me!!! Most people go balls out with there cars, I'm fine with running 12s in the 1/4.

Most people on LS1tech go with big converters!!!

yah you really haveta take a close look at your application. what you want out of your converter and car. mileage will suk if you like to cruise at 30 mph. my gas is "ok" but if i had to drive it alllllll the time i would have not gotten the converter!
