PERFORMER IAS,TUBULAR K MEMBERS!!

hello all. as you can proly tell im fairly new to the whole suspension deal..
well i want to get a pair of the performer ias shocks from edelbrock. they seem to be a pretty good drag shock but i really want something i can turn with also.. I want something i can get a very small amout of body roll with..

also i was looking at the tubular k members from jegs.. any dirt or glory to let me in on?

with the IAS (Inertia Active System)system on the performer IAS shocks it should do very well in a multirole enviroment id give them a shot. If they dont work try a adjustable shock like the KYB or koni

if youre looking to reduce body roll the best way is springs and sway bars, while the shocks will help to minimize it they more controll how fast the car will lean not how far

the K-members are useually made with changes in geomentry to the front suspension to help reduce brake dive and improve camber gain while in a corner, but im not sure about the jegs ones they deal mostly in drag racing so my guess is its made more for weight savings than better handelling, but i could be wrong :)

im not a suspension tech or anything this is just my opinions based on "my understang" through researching the suspension on my own car (91 stang GT)

Here's the beef on the 4th gens. You can do just about anything you want, it is just a matter of money. The K-members are for saving weight but make sure you buy a good one. I think Jegs caries BMR which is very good. YOu will only be able to make camber adjustments if you have adjustable control arms too. I'm not sure what alll the exact positioning would be on an aftermarket part but I doubt it would be different from factory. K-members usually drop you around 90-100 lbs up front and control arms can take you down another 60-70 lbs if you do uppers and lowers. UMI has a lot of nice goodies, I like the things I have bought already.

As far as everything else is conserned, it all really depends on what you are going to do. There are sway bars, bushings, pandhards, torque arms rear lower control arms, springs, shocks, subframe connectors, braces, cages etc. Tell me what you want the car to do and I can at least point you in the right direction. :smt023

I have some KYB AGX Adjustable shocks on my 'Maro and when dragging you set the dial to 8 and when cruising I twist it too around 4-5 and it keeps a excellent turning area and I can take a left at around 30-35 without tire squeel and I can also take a hard right at 25 with excellent control!

I totally agree with Rare4thgens in that. RYAN and the guys at UMIperformance have some of the best products out there. I give them madd respect for a jod well done. just about every suspension part on my 93',is or will soon be from them. they have great suspension parts for some of the lowest prices. I'll vouch for it BIGG time
