pics from my spec 3 install

just in case anyone is curious.

http://www.isurvivedlhn.com/images/9...tch%20install/

this is the first major thing ive ever done to any car. It took me about 3 days with some help from some friends. The worst part of the whole thing was taking the trans in and out. taking it off i couldnt get the clutch fork off without some grief. Putting it back on was worse, it wouldnt line up. After a full 8 hours of faulure, I ended up getting a steel alignment tool and she popped right on. I dont even have 100 miles on it yet, but its working great so far. A little chatter, but no more than the stocker. and from what i can tell by just cruising around... dayum it bites :smt077

Nice to hear you accomplished a tougher than average project yourself. Some people would rather save the grief and have someone else do it instead of learning to do it yourself.

My V6 camaro is sitting in the driveway on jackstands minus a trans, and I can't get the damn thing to line up for anything! The clutch is in, and everything has been done properly. . . How much does the steel alignment tool cost?! I'm at my wit's end. . .

i did a clutch install not too long ago (SPEC III as well) but i did it in a day, but ive also got some previous mechanic experience... thats cool you did it yourself im glad there are still some diyer's on this planet. i put about 600 miles on it before i really started using it, and ive thrown everything i can at it and it bites like a bitch and asks for more very pleased with it.
