two parter: tc is in...fuel pump question

first of all, i got my ssf 4,200 tc in last week, and it is awsome....i myself am a little sore from crawling under my car for last couple of weeks working on that and a few other things......i haven't messed with the shift points or anything yet, but it runs good enough till i get around to it.....let's just say it's a good thing i'm getting some wider wheels and drs on there soon :)drive

now i have a question: anybody here change the fuel pump on a ls1?
looks like i'll have to drop the tank; also, i've got basically a completely stock engine, would it be any benifit going to an aftermarket pump, or should i go with a stock type......

it still works right now, but the whining seems to be getting worse.....either that or it's the same and i just heard it for the first time because my cutouts are closed....

Some guys dont drop the tank and just cot and acces door in their rear hatch area. I did it on my third gen but wouldnt do it the the hawk just cause I wont cut the hawk up. Gm pump will last longer but if your gonna get to modding where you need more fuel you may want to step up now.
